A good friend of mine, as well as, fishermen all around the Quad-Cities area needs your help. Gary Dau the past president of the Quad-Cities In-Fisherman club, a Purefishing representative, father, and grandfather is battling agressive prostate cancer. Gary is a flooring installer who is self employeed and due to the cost of health insurance was caught with out health insurance when diagnosed. Many of his friends (including yours truely) are holding a benefit dinner/auction to help Gary along. You are all invited to attend the event this Sunday, 15 April from 2 – 6pm at the Quad-Cities Expo Center in Rock Island Illinois. The cost is $5 a head to get in the door, for which you will be served a speggetti dinner. Many items have been donated for auctioning. All proceeds will go to Gary to help pay the expenses of his treatments.
