Various Mississippi River Pools

    Without seeming to dumb, does any-one know where the various pools are located and if the pools are the dams along the river system?

    Pools are named for the dam at the base of them. Pool 1 is upstream of Lock and Dam 1 (Ford Dam), Pool 2 is upstream of Lock and Dam 2 (Hastings), Pool 3 is upstream of Lock and Dam 3 (Red Wing), etc.
