I have been trying for three weeks to contact Lowrance in order to simply order a new battery cover for my I Finder H20 hand held GPS unit. I have been phoning and sending e-mail requests. I got a phone message from “Joe”, yes that is is name, that it will cost $7.99 shipping charges and he gave me the number 1-800-324-1356. I have been calling lots of time in order to recieve a busy signal. Last Friday I got through to find that he was at a meeting. Wow!I have e-mailed again today to describe my frustration and have asked for a method to get the cover and pay my shipping. I had a terrible experience before with them for a minor problem with this unit. I found out later that after telling them what was wrong they suggested to have me send the unit in with my LakeMaster Chip. I did that and waited three weeks, then e-mailed them to state my frustrations. They said that it normally takes two weeks to get at a unit in the shop. O.K. they sent it back a couple of days later. No explanation of what they did and there was no charge. Unfortunately the problem still existed. I found out what the problem was on this site and corrected it. Are you people getting in touch with the fact that I will never buy another Lowrance product ! To you Lowrance I say

    I can feel your frustation….

My expirence with Lowrance and most companys is that E-Mail is frutile and is not going to work often if at all.

My best luck has been calling and waiting on hold sometimes for up to an hour.

That being said Lowrance has always made it right in the end for me and just about everyone I can think of.

I am sending my 110 in this week and they said it would take 3-4 weeks at least. Now i have to go buy another unit just for the mean time. She promised it by opener but well see my buddy is going on 3 weeks right know for his 334. For being such a great company it just makes me wonder how it can take them that long to fix something like this. Hire more people. Has anyone else had problems with them or with there units in the last year or two.

Guys the problem is last years season was over in Nov. and everyones unit that was acting up is now being sent to them to get fixed. You can’t even begin to know how many units they get this time of year. Each one with a different problem, each one has to be taken apart tested and fixed. Even if they had 500 people on the tech staff it would still take time to get all the units fixed.

Hold in there, they will make your unit right! They still make the very best products we can buy.

I would send my units in in the fall from now on, if they need fixing from the season, you tend to find the wait less frustrating

If you aren’t dealing with warranty work, try Fish-Lectronics in Columbia Heights. They have all kinds of parts in stock, and can get SO’s pretty quick. I don’t know if I can post their phone # without catching hell, but they are in the yellow pages under FISHING.
