Mornings like this make me wish I was out fishing, instead of staring at a computer all day.

How do I get to work? With a boot in rear from my wife. Then followed by her words of caution. “Don’t even look at that boat.”

Then last night I get this out the front door. There was no rain in the forecast, but this was awesome. It ends in the river in front of my house. Anybody have scube gear so I can retreive my pot of gold?

Beleive it or not, the other end of the rainbow ends right about where the boat landing is. Is God trying to tell me something here. If you look close there is a double ‘bow there. I think my digital camera just paid for itself.

Sweet picks “GC”! Maybe the gold is just the shine off of a record setting walldad?!?!? Gold or no gold, views like that are less than common and worth the wait every time!

Rainbows and pots of Gold (Walleyes, that is) are omens to get out there and wet a line. Just DO IT. Jack.

I left the office and the computer last July after 40 years of working since age 15 and never regretted it. My son has never figued this out (he sleeps in) but there is nothing better then putting your boat in the Upper Mississippi just before dawn on a nice summer morning.

Great picture, I think I will re-spool the reeels and head for Alma on Tuesday.

2Fishy4U – I did the same. Retired life is great isn’t it. I retired at 55 and it is the best decision I ever made in my entire life. I find myself enjoying life and fishing even more. Good luck to you – enjoy those early morning launches – you gotta admit it is great to have the river to yourself sometimes. My boys envy my mornings – I usually have them help me hook up the boat as they are going to work and I’m going fishing.

Getting a new hitch put on my Van in the morning. Since losing my husband 3 years ago I’ve been kinda stuck for getting out on the river in the early morning. Sure do miss it. Said I’m going to learn all over again about backing the boat in and launching it myself. Do or die trying.
