Opinions on smartphones wanted…..

I am thinking of getting a new phone/pda. It looks like the only 2 choices I have are the Treo 700wx and Motorola Q. This will be for casual and some business use. My old cell is not long for this world, and I just want to upgrade a bit.
Any opinions, good, bad, or otherwise ??? Fire away…

I’ve got the Treo 650. I really like it.

I have gone through 2 Treos in the past year. Not very durable as far as I am concerned, but then again I have a tendancy to drop things. It is setup to recieve from my Outlook account at work, and the email app on the phone I have no real complaints about. Of all the phones I have ever owned I would have to say that my reception is about the worst. Especially out of the metro. Web browsing features are OK but very few sites are smartphone compatible. Oh yeah, Bubble Breaker is a fun game while waiting to board an airplane.

I’m not a Q fan. It may just be my device, but I’ve fought with this thing for a couple months now. However, in the last 2 weeks it’s been better.

Problems:
Won’t sync with OWA(outlook web access) consistently.
Phone drops calls when you think it’s dialing.
Processor is extremely slow, can’t keep up with my mad typing skilz.
Keys are a little small for my neanderthal fingers.

I am switching back to Blackberry as soon as Verizon comes out with the 8800.

Thanks for your input guys!! These things are new to me and as usual I’m afraid I’ll be learning as I go. I didn’t realize how complicated these contraptions could be

I have both of the phones, I had to buy the Q because the sound on the Treo is so bad.

I moved from a BB to a Treo 700w last Friday. I like the Treo, but I have drained the battery every day. I also have the 10Mb data plan, and have exceeded it already. I need to go to unlimited. I have also put 3 others on Treos, and they love it. The only thing I don’t like is the wireless sync server will only sync every 20 minutes. If I have a piece of hardware go down, I need to know right away. I also noticed that in 1x territory, the signal better be at least two bars or it won’t auto sync. I checked out the Q, but decided on the Treos. The beauty of the Treo and Q over a BB is the ability to read PDF’s and office attachments.

One more thing. Bubble Breaker is awesome. I’ve only cleared the screen once. I’m thinking this could be an Olympic event soon…
