Hi fellas, I just bought a new 46 inch LCD. Some of the channels seem to get blurry or lagging when viewing. I was told that sometimes this happens with big screens. Also why does everybody seem fat on the bottom of the screen?

No Derek, it’s a flat panel LCD HDTV. It only seems to happen to certain channels and certain programming. The wife is watching Idol now and it doesn’t seem to be happening!(ok I’m watching too) But why does everybody’s butt appear huge?

Like SteveO mentioned, there could be a calibration issue. However today’s TV’s have an auto-calibrate feature. Some older TV’s need an actual tech to come to your house. Read up on the manual and troubleshooting. If that doesnt work contact the manufacture direct.

Do you have satellite or cable? Do you have a HD reciever?

on my 42″ LG there is a feature called Stretch…you do NOT want it in this mode…what it does is, it takes all of the channels and fits them to your full screen…if it’s an HD Channel and you have HD signal the screen will go full width…if it’s not HD you wil have black bars on the sides of the screen…

I was having the same issues with my Sony LCD. The TV was set to auto-adjust to widescreen or standard screen depending on the channel I was watching. Turns out I needed to make some changes to my Charter DVR. Now everything looks great. If you have cable (not sure about satellite, but it might be the same way), I would check out your HDTV settings on the box.
