    We were there too early for Tarpon on our last trip with Mike…but, while fishing Schnook a very respectable Tarpon broke the surface a couple hundered feet away from us.

    My hands trembled.

    The last time down we fished schnook. But because of the timing we didn’t want to take any home.

    I’m not sure how we got on the subject of Firehouse Baked Beans, but we worked out a deal where I would send him the beans and he would send me the schnook.

    Well, I sent him the beans and haven’t seen any schnook on my door step yet. He’s at a slight disadvantage because of some law down there…he can’t take schnook because he’s a guide..or something like that.

    But that’s ok, I like ribbing him much better than having the fish anyway.
