My guess is upper 30’s, perhaps flirting with 40 under perfect conditions, correct prop and a light load.

That’s about what I get with my 1750/115 4s combo.

    It must be a 115?

    I am with Brookie…about low 40’s?

Fast enough depends on what you plan on doing. Back in the day, my 12ft 5hp combo was “fast enough” cause it floated and got me over the fish!

If the motor is actually 115HP my estimate is high 30’s, low 40’s.

P.S. How fast do you want to go???

My 16′ Explorer runs about 39mph on GPS with me and full tank of gas and gear…and that has a 75 Yammy on it…So I’m guessing it would run near the same…with the 115 and being 17’…saw a few out last year that ran the same speed as me that you are describing.

I recall Yamaha making an 80, 100, and 115 back when they 1st got the 4-stroke line up going strong about 7-8(?) years ago. I’ll still see a 100 on occasion.

Oh ya, what they said; upper 30’s.

I’ve got the same size boat with a 90 two stroke. Low 40’s by myself without a full tank. I squeaked 45mph GPS with a tailwind. Plenty fast enough for the ‘Croix.
