What kind of water are you going to be fishing?

If you are mainly fishing Rivers and smaller inland lakes, I would suggest looking at a 16-17′ V with a tiller outboard. You can find decent prices on these boats with around a 40 hp. That would be a real nice starter boat, that will be good for multispecies and handle the water a little better for someone who’s relatively new to the game.

When are you looking to buy? I will have mine for sale in 3-4 weeks for right around $5,000. I can PM you any information on the boat if you would like…RR

I sent you a PM. If you could give everyone some more info on where you fish and what kind of fishing you do ect… We should be able to find you a boat.

I am not sure where you reside, but if you are close to Lake City check out Smitty’s Marine. The guys are honest and direct, and if you would have a problem my hunch is their service department would do a nice job resolving it.

Finally, I never bought a rig from them, prodominately because I live in SE Wisconsin and they don’t handle Crestliner. Nonetheless, my gut feeling when talking to these guys was there dealership is first class.

If your looking at a dealership on the strength of their service dept. you may want to look elsewhere. Try Al’s
