why did lowrance discontinue the 334? i sent mine in to get fixed and they told me it will be 2 more weeks till they can get me a new one because they do not make them anymore. if they were having problems with the 334 why not just replace the ones that get sent in for warrenty work with with the new 522?

I have a 2004 Silverado that still is under warranty, If I bring it in for service and they have to order a part, they will not exchange it for a 2007

It happens often in all companys they release new porduct lines.

At this point nobody knows if the 522 is going to be any better then the 334.

Make sure they extend your warranty.

The 522 would be just as long if not longer. They are backordered. This is the time of year when the demand is much higher than the supply.

Those of you looking to get new units on your rigs should think about getting in line now, so you can have something ready in the next few weeks.

big crappie if you had a year old pickup that was not able to be fixed then yes you would expect a new truck because it is under warranty. i am just saying that making people wait over a month for there depth finder back is not what i call customer service. i know they are back ordered but i am not ordering one i already have one that was defective. just needing to vent

It’s not that they totally discontinued that unit. Every couple years they make a few upgrades to existing units and basically release the same unit as a different model number. I don’t know what was wrong with your unit, but I sent mine in for repairs 2 years ago and they sent me a new one. Of course it was when they still called it the LMS334C. I haven’t had a problem since. I’ve never had a problem with the service from Lowrance. In fact I overnighted my unit to them and the next day they overnighted me a new one. I thought they went above and beyond to help me out.
