We have a group looking for a good fishing lake and nice resort in the Branerd area for second week of June 2007. One of the lake we are considering is Bay Lake. Has anyone heard of Bay Lake near Mille Lacs? How is the fishing?

Great Resort and Lake. Contact Lynn Harker from Crosby, he guides for Ruttger’s Bay Lake Lodge. Plus the swimming, golf courses, beach, tennis, shopping, etc….

It’s a bass/panfish lake. I think there is one walleye in there however…

I live about 5 miles south of Bay Lake on Mille Lacs.

Bay Lake is a very nice, clean lake. It’s average or above for largemouth bass fishing. It’s an average or above crappie lake and is full of sunfish too. Add a few small northerns and you have it. Walleyes? Not many but a few get caught.

Here’s a peak at Bay Lake from the DNR.

Farm Island…about three miles east, is a good walleye lake.
