A little bragging

I hope you guys don’t mind, but attached is a link to a video taken last week when my son competed in the Wisconsin State Tournament for Indoor Archery. He had competed the week before at the World Indoor in Las Vegas, and tied for 1st with 25 of 245 shooters in his class. At the State Touney, he took 2nd, and he will be heading to Nationals in 2 weeks. The tounament in Las vegas was his first touney as a Pro, with a new bow he picked up 2 weeks prior, and he had switched from Bowhunter to Freestyle, which is quite an equipment change. Anyway……thought I’d share.

Let me know if the link works, otherwise I can try another way.

HUZZAH! Good for him… warped me back to when my oldest son was a Massachusetts state champ in air rifle and small caliber and place well in pistols.

Shooting sports are an awesome outlet… I just hope my son DOESN’T need to call on his skills while in Afghanistan serving in the Air Force…

Sounds like you should be the one bragging. Tell your son we all thank him for the job he is doing.

Nope, he follows in his Mom’s footsteps……..and then passed me by. I was WI state indoor and outdoor champion for years, only made it as far as 2nd at Nationals……….but that was a long, long, time ago……..in a galaxy far, far away……..under the rule of the evil Emporer……and when I left, he got custody of the archery club, so I sort of drifted away form it. But Grant is like a shooting machine when he’s on the line. Way better than I ever thought of being.

Awesome Congrats. Nothing like the discipline of the shooting sports and especially the mystical flight of the arrow >>>——>O .
