Saw on the news at 6 tonight some guy drove out to see where a truck went through the ice on Medicine lake and sank his truck through the same hole.

I would love to talk to the driver of the second truck; his IQ must be about 50 less then my dog.

News like that confirms why I stick to having my boat in the lake, not my vehicles…..?!?! At least no one was hurt.

Its interesting you say that. The article or some one else mentioned that they may have to leave them there till spring, in which case the DNR will fine them.

Now imagine this warning like it is coming from your 1st grade teacher: There is a lot of heavy, wet, snow on many lakes now. Please think twice before driving a vehicle on the lake!

    People will do it.

The clip they had with it was interesting too. I think it was the first truck they showed as it was sitting with the passangers side back tire through the ice and you could see the motor was still running by the bubbles coming out of the water. I think I would have shut if off and run. Maybe with out the vibration and no heat being generated it might have stayed on top. But oh well.

He just might get one, but he will have to pay for it himself. Some insurance policies do not cover this. The recovery alone is astonishing, sometimes $8000.00 and maybe more depending how much effort it takes to recover. Yes the DNR will more than likely get their money as well. The longer they sit, the bigger the fine.
