Has anyone Hunted Caribou ???

    I have the oportunity to go on a caribou in Quebec in 08′ Has anyone done it and is worth the $$$. It seems like it is a once in a life time chance. What do you think????

    My nephew and a buddy in WI went 2 years ago to NewFoundland and each took two animals. Was quite the adventure on snowmobiles.

    I have yet to do it. It is on my list to do, but haven’t as of yet. You said it best Schrumy, a chance of a lifetime. I have never heard a negative comment about doing this. I bleieve Sgt. Rock is right most areas are a 2 animal hunt. If I had the chance to do it and enough Cash, I wouldn’t hesitate one bit.

    I went to Quebec back in 2003 to Safari Nordic (sp?). The experience was a once in a lifetime . We each were allowed two animals and the overall experience was pretty cool . If I remember correctly, the price in 2003 was about $4500. If I were to pick it apart, a guide is necessary in Canada,though I didn’t feel I needed one. We as a group felt pressured to shoot any decent animal so they could maintain their reputation of 100% success in our particular camp . Send me a PM if you want more specifics.
