Derek and I are heading up to Chisago on Saturday. Has anyone been out there lately? Any reports would be great. Thanks in advance.

My buddy and I where out last weekend in front of the Eagles Nest and did ok. Caught some smaller crappies and then got in to a bunch of sunnies. The fish where hitting of Powerbait crappie nibblers, couldn’t buy a bite with a minnow. The crappie bite was slow but consistent until about 11:30 and then they just shut off completely. We were set up in about 12 feet of water and where catching the fish with lines set up about 2 feet off the bottom. Hope this helps.

my folks live on S. Center, they cant’ believe the traffic there on the weekends. Dad did not get the house out this year, so he is waiting for some warmer weather. Check in at Frankies, they usually have one week old information.

Not a fishing report on Chisago, but. Had to run up town today so when I finished I decided to stop in and kick back for a couple minutes at Mikes Bait on 8, one of my customers. Joe was the only one around and traffic was lite so we were talking about the fishing. I was surprised to find Clear lake wasn’t producing but Joe said North Center was hot. go figure.
If your fishing the trap attack, I think the A frame on Chisago is out of bounds.
Some trevia for you. The pilings I marked on that map I found when I was annotating it, the locals told me that way back when the lake was really low for a couple decades some one had built a dance hall there and thats where the pilings came from. In fact one old timer pointed to the bay on the south end and informed me that the lake was so much lower his dad raised potatoes there.

There is a ton of good deep rock/wood structure I fish bass on. No idea if it holds pannies now. Good luck!

Thanks for all the replies guys. I am going to leave it up to Derek. Sounds like it will be a great day either way. See you on the lake.
