I have a couple of days off and would like to go and catch some fish. If anyone knows of where the fish are hitting around here I would appreciate some info. I’m not asking for your secret spot but just some ideas on where to go. I don’t get out much anymore and so I can’t get out and search. I fish panfish, walleye, perch, pike and even eelpout and would be willing to go after any of these fish. I release pike over 3lbs and big female walleye’s so don’t worry I do respect the lakes that I fish.
    Thanks

Lindsey (lind) lake in Backus has some good panfish that are easy to catch. Also has a huge population of Northerns but they are on the smaller side. A few eyes from time to time also.

I always wanted to try big trout (I think that’s the name) for some trout, (whitefish chain) that being said I have no idea when the season is open or not, so I’d check that out before hand, I hear there the DNR has strong presence up there.

Yeah I drive by there every day and see people out there but I have yet to try it. I’ve heard people do pretty good out there. The season opened up on January 13 I believe. Maybe I’ll try it on Sunday if the season is still going.

If your going for Walleye PM me for info. I’ve got Cabin near Backus and we slay the Walleye in the winter. I dont want to post the lake name here.
