Terry Ryan just said on the radio that Twins have sign Joe Mauer through the 2010 season.

    Kudo’s to the Twins!

On a related note, I read the write up in the Mpls. paper on Torii Hunter today. Once I got past the 19,900 square foot house I really enjoyed the article. Torrii is a class act with a million dollar smile! He is the one guy I’m really going to miss next year after he is gone.

So the AL MVP gets a year and the hometown guy gets four??? I’m not against it but the Twins are going to look different come April 2008. If they don’t contend, do they ship Hunter and Morneau for prospects in the hope of retaining Santana? Or is Santana wishful thinking?

Anyway you slice it, this is the best pro sports organization in town.

as far as I am concerned, the twins and vikings can both be shipped to where ever they want another underpaid and over paid wine babies. now that we have hockey back here in the state of MN, that is all that matters to me, not a huge ball fan.

Now lets see if he’ll keep his pitching staff.
