It is refreshing to know there is always going to more rational football fans, regardless of who “your” team is. We just have to remember, there is always going to be a few of those “my dad is tougher than your dad” fans.

Jealous? Sorry Honda, not jealous here. In fact Honda, you might want to search this site regarding the Bears. I think I was one of the first Viking fans to give congratulations to the Bears. You probably missed that thread, you were too busy looking for all the “jealous” fans.

    Move along now.

I think you are about 9 years old, not 12 as some have suggested. The Packers have won three Super Bowls, not one, and if you are not at least aware of that there is little reason to comment. I suspect even the Vikes have a better record since there inception into the NFL then the Bears. Of course being nine you wouldn’t remember.

I think the last time the Pack played the Bears, on Chicago’s home turf, the score was something like 26-7 Packers, or do I have that backwords.

You’re right. Since 1970 (NFL/AFL merger) the Vikings have 16 division championships and 4 trips to the Super Bowl. The Bears on the other hand have 9 division championships, and 2 trips to the S.B.

Now if you want to look at all their historys, thats different. If you go back to when the Bears first started playing, 1920, they have a total of 19 division championships, compared to the 16 of the Vikings. But then again, the Vikings have only been around since 1964!

FYI. The very first regular season game the Vikings ever played was against the “World Champion” Bears in 1964. The Vikings crushed them something like 33-7!!

The Pack was 5-1 in the NFC North. What was the Bear’s record? It was the same, I think. I wouldn’t call that domination. They haven’t called it the “Central” for quite some time. Being the astute football fan that you are I’m sure this was an oversight.

Ah, lay off suzuki00. He said some months ago that he was old enough to remember the Bears winning the Super Bowl after I suggested he was twelve years old. My mistake. I thought only a seventh-grader would think it is original and clever to call the Vikings “gay purple boys”.
