The hyped D was terrible…the offense was even worse…Grossman, was pathetic.

Hey, I took the bears in a friendly bet with my bro, but that was almost laughable.

grossman wasn’t bad if he wouldn’t have thrown the two int’s he would have had a better rating than manning. All i have to say is you can talk crap all you want about him but hey he took his team to the superbowl and no one else from the NFC did.

I was pulling for the Bears because I think Lubby Smith has done a great job, at 13-3, with a team that simply is not that talented.

    Next year it will be:

    1. Green Bay
    2. Chicago
    3. Minnesota
    4. Detroit

The Bears are lucky it was even as close as it was. They didn’t look like a team that should even be playing in a Super Bowl.

Well that was one hard game to watch. I’m not sure what to think of the game just yet other than the Bears stunk for 75% of the game. My biggest fear with the game would be watching the Bears self destruct and in many ways it seems they did. Yet the Colts almost doubled the Bears in T.O.P, offensive yards, and offensive plays. Yet the Bears were in the game the entire way. Rex couldn’t get in the game long enough to get in a groove and the the defense never made adjustments until it was too late.

All in all I didn’t think it was that good of a game. The Bears pretty much sucked after the first quarter but somehow they stayed in the game so I guess the Colts stunk too but not as bad. I was pretty miffed to watch the Colts [censored] foot around Hester after the first kickoff. But strategy is strategy and it worked for them.

Congratulations Colts, your the Super Bowl champs. The Bears still had a wonderful season and have no reason to hang their heads. The 2007 season is only a few months away and should again prove to be a fun one to watch.

This just in. Peyton Manning was awarded the MVP. Personally I find that to be a crock of crap. The award should have went to Rhodes and Adai without question. Were it not for them two backs the game would likely have been much closer if not a win for the Bears. Just goes to show how things are not always as they seem. Peyton still lives in Archies footsteps. Archie got O player of the year for an 8-8 record and P Man gets the MVP for handing off to his running backs. Oh well!

I agree Tony Dungee is a classy person. Previous to this I was critical of him and could have just as easily cast him off. My mind has changed, and I think T Dun will creep into my mind as a great coach (obviously he is) and classy person. He should have gotten the MVP!

I disagree. Next year Favre will have Randy Moss to throw the ball to and Grossman will still be Grossman. Chicago doesn’t have what it takes to win the Superbowl and I think that the picks the Packers will get in the draft they will have better talent next year.

The only thing Randy Moss will ever get to do at Green Bay is clean the toilets. He is a gang banger wanna be that was past his prime 2 years ago. He’ll end up back in Minnesota where Tavaris can cut his teeth on an average at best receiver.

The Bears may have lost the Super Bowl but they have what it takes to win. Go check out the stat sheet and ask yourself why the score wasn’t 65-17. A loss is still a loss but all it would have taken is two less mistakes for the Bears to have won.

All it takes to win most games in the NFL is two less mistakes. That statement is as weak as the bears played.

At least he would have one average one to throw to, the rest of them need A LOT of work.

What game where you watching? How about the botched snaps/fumbles and underthrown ball that should have been a easy TD? Tripping over himself for sacks, he was a bumblin, stumblin, fumblin, interception throwing fool today. It was like watching a train wreck. Really, through unbiased eyes, it was that bad.

I think had it NOT been for Grossmans play, the Bears woulda, coulda, shoulda won this game. Grossman was surely the goat. He played lousy. It was pretty obvious that 11 guys on D, 11 guys on Spec Teams and 10 guys on offense played a decent game that was winnable, Rex was the deciding factor.

As a Packer fan, I hope Rex is back under center next year for “Da Bears”.

Congrats to Tony Dungy–a class act ever since his days playing at the U of M, and running the Vikings’ defense. Also nice to see the U of M’s Ben Utecht win a ring. The University of Iowa’s Dallas Clark and Bob Sanders acquitted themselves well, too.

Note to Lovie Smith: open up the starting QB spot to competition in training camp…

I knew Grossman was the weakest link coming in–the question was whether the Bears defense could stop the Colts from scoring. They didn’t. The Bears’ running game could have kept Grossman from winning the game for the Colts with his fumbles and INTs, but once the Colts took the lead it was up to Grossman to keep Chicago on pace, and that was not going to happen.

No way will control freak Brad Childress ever accept pouting child Randy Moss on the Vikings. In any case, Moss is well past his prime. The Packers can have him.

I beg to differ with you Wade, the Chicago defense maybe played their worst game of the season yesterday. They didn’t look anything like the 3rd best scoring defense in the league. The Colts O line totally controled the line of scrimmage, and most of Manning’s pass completions were in the under belly of the defense where Chicago’s highly praised super quick, physical LB’s were supposed to control the play. They ran the ball right down their throats when they needed too also.

In the end, the Colts just laid a good old fashion butt kicking on the Bears, and they did it playing the Bears game…..hard hitting, physical, smash mouth style.

    It was great to watch!!

This was the last season for another 15 to 20 years that the Bears will get to the Superbowl. Next year the Packers will take the NFC North followed by the Bears, Vikings and Lions. The Packers look to be returning a much better team next season which is the main reason Favre decided to return. They went 6-8 down the stretch with an improving offensive line and a much better defense than they started the year with. Rumors have already started as to the Bears losing several players off of this year’s team including Brian Urlacher (contract dispute).

I was watching a different game then most people here.
The game I watched the vaunted Chicago defense got manhandled and pushed all over the field. I think Indy ended up with 430 yards of offense.

This on a night Manning rarely threw the ball deep.

Grossman was not the reason the Bears lost.

    THE PACKERS

Oh boy i have to quit rolling on the ground. Funny everyone on here talks crap about the bears but let me ask you this???????????

WHERE WAS YOUR FAVORITE TEAM LAST NIGHT????????????????

Most of you on here are either a vikings fan or a packers fan. If i do believe so they were at home watching the game wishing they were there. Neither of those team would have done any better in fact they would have done worse. Look on the bright side the bears and packers have both won at least one superbowl the vikings well they have only gotten as far as my bears did last night…… The bears will be back next year and playing for the NFC championship again you can mark my words.

I talk crap about every other team because everyone talks crap about the bears yet they were the best team in the NFC so that is the reason they were in the superbowl. They will be back there again next year the only two teams that will give them a challenge next year inthe NFC will be the saints and cowboys every other team SUCKS!!!!!!

I thought the game was very entertaining. I just hope the Purple can rise from the depths of “below average” teams in the NFL.

Mind if I borrow your crystal ball? I’d like to know who to bet on next year. Speaking of that how much did you win in Vegas? Knowing the future is a very valuable thing you know. Of course you know that, knowing the future and all! Just having fun with ya is all, don’t get bowed up. Besides liking the Bears I am also (primarily) a Packer fan and never wish them ill will. the next season can’t get here soon enough for me.

The Bears D is shored up for a few years yet as of last season. The guys are all under contract. If B Lach is not happy with his contract it sure hasn’t been discussed in the news that I have seen.

The purple can rise Ya that would be the day.

No I am not 12 but i see you all are jealous because my team went to the superbowl but that is ok we will wait again till next fall to watch them again dominate the central division but since they are the only good team in the central division it isn’t that hard.
