Storm Lake or Okoboji

    I’m going to be living a little ways south of Okoboji this summer on the shores of Storm Lake. I want to know what you would recomend I do, should I try fishing Storm Lake even though I heard its not the greatest for fishing if your stuck on the shore like I’ll be or should I just drive to Okoboji once in a while to fish? If I should go to Okoboji, where are some good spots to fish from the shore since I’ve never fished it before? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

    Hey Skippy.I live about 45 minutes from both of these lakes.Storm Lake can be very good from shore at night for catfish.It is a great catfish lake.You’ll have better luck in the summer from a boat for walleyes.The wader fisherman do very good in the spring and fall casting jigs and plastics.
    There are alot of options at the Iowa Great Lakes,too many to list.Here is my e-mail.If you want to tag along with me a few times let me know.I fish alot and always have a few openings.Best of luck.

    Hey, thanks for the tips for fishing Storm Lake. I’ll be up here all summer, so I’ll see if I can find time sometime to get ahold of you and maybe we can try our luck on the lakes.
