Depth finder

    I’m looking to purchase a new depth finder, and would like to know how often they should be updated, excluding damage, etc.

    Also, are there any of you that measure the water temp at the depth your bait is at, is there an advantage to knowing?

    I fished with a guide that had a termometer on the weight of his marker. Thought that was a good trick.
