Bay City Ramp / Parking

    Can anyone tell me if this is a good ramp to launch?

    Yes, it is a very nice ramp. You have direct access to the Wisconsin Channel, and with the high water you can run out into the lake. There is plenty of parking, and a nice campground as well.

    Where is Bay City relative to Nelson, Pepin and Maiden Rock.

    North. Right at the very extreme top of the lake. This landing is a good one. Acess to the river and lake is good during high water… a bit testy during low water. There is a nice campground there and a couple covered shelters to hide out under during summer storms (I seem to end up there frequently during July and August!).

    Is there a good bait shop in Bay City? Or would you suggest Red Wing (speaking of Red Wing, any suggestions for bait shops there?).
