Its 2007 [new year], cold, and winter, and we are all sitting here over flowing with cabin fever. Where is the first place you plan to launch the boat in the water at in 2007? Which river? Which lake?

By the way, I’m guessing your going to get that answer a lot Bill. 
My first place for a river will be pool 4 on the Mississippi River. Super year around fishery and the home of where Walleye Fever/Cabin Fever gets satisfied. 
For a lake it will depend on which lake [Lake Zumbro or Lake Pepin] opens up first. On Lake Zumbro I’m anxious for some crappie fishing. On Lake Pepin I’m anxious to just get out on the water and fine tune the rigging of rod holders on my boat.
To put it plain and simple: just give me some much warmer temps, no ice on the water, and where there isn’t alot of boat traffic so I can experiment.

P4 early April. Kick the rust off the boat for a month before WI inland opener. Turtle Flambeau Flowage for opening weekend.
Ford Dam or Everts it is a toss up.
Lake Ripley
Depends either Milford lake KS or Francis Case sometime in March.
Hopefully Chamberlain s.d. in mid to late march if my boat shows up in time, if not it might be the Detroit River around April 3 or so

I can’t believe I’ve missed the entire month of January. 
My first trips of the very early season are either on Pool 4 out of Everts or Pool 5 out of Alma.
rainy river around the 20th of april for sturgeon and shortly after that on mille lacs.
pool 4 for me and then maybe tonka or maybe north or south center. who knows, we will have to see how the $$$$ is looking.

I heard the long range forcast is for ice into early June with this late cold spell.
Wisconsin River below Wisconsin Dells, unless it isn’t open by late march, then it would be pool 4.
I heard from Dean at Evert’s that two guys were fishing pool #4 yesterday. BBBBBBBRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!! Now that’s diehard. I hope they caught limits. They deserved them.
I’ll hit Milford Reservoir as soon as the ice comes off. That should be in the next 3-6 weeks!!

I’ve been out on Pool 4 several times already.
