Briggs Lake

    Does any IDA’r ever fish Briggs lake near Clear Lake? They use to catch some nice crappies out there but I haven’t fished in years.

    I’ve only fished it back around 1989 in the Spring in the channel on the south end off the road,
    have never been there using ice fishing.
    would sure seem like it has a good population of Crappies.
    always did well in the channel..

    Schrumy..Ive fished it several times eairlier this year..my co worker went out on thursday evening and caught 7 crappie within an hour or so..hesaid they were all between 10 to 12 inches…I did see a pic of two of them…I plan on going out with him on sunday if its not all too cold…Good luck Jay

    Go in the Spring and hit the channel!
    Bring an interpeter, you will have fun.
