Okay… wife will be home in 2 hours. We have a deal at home. She cooks, I do dishes. Well, tonight I am home before her and would like to surprise her… but I am by no means a cook. We have chicken thawed out. Not boneless. All pieces. Gonna cook them in the oven. Need some quick suggestions on how to cook it. HOw long? what temp? what spices? etc. THanks!

    OVEN FRIED!!!!!!!
    hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!!!!!!!!!!!!
    LOVE IT!
Ain’t healthy, but I LOVE IT!!!!!!!

Take the pieces and roll in flour.
Lay on cookie sheet (I prefer to cover with foil)
Sprinkle a good amount of Paprika and a light sprinkle of Lawry’s seasoning salt.
    Skin sides UP!
Melt 1 stick of butter (BUTTER, not margarine!)

Put in oven at 350 for 30 minutes, then turn chicken over and cook another 20-30 minutes until done!

When I flip the chicken, I prefer to sprinkle the “new” sides again with Paprika and Lawry’s.

Some say lay skin sides down, but I don’t like my chicken as crispe as others. You can also loose some chicken juice this way, but the butter sucks it up!!!

Just don’t over cook, or it get’s dry!

Take the chicken breast and smash it flat in a zip lock with something. Cut it into maybe 5 inch squares, put a little deli ham in it with cheese, butter and a some spices from the cupboard (maybe some bread crumbs on top with seasoning). Roll it up and put it open side down in a muffin tin. It takes about 40 mins at 375 or so. It only takes 5 mins to make and you get to smash something!!
    Give it a try

Toss the chicken, go to kentucky fried, then hide all the evidence!

Stop and pick up some Rice-a-roni (SP) Rice Pilaf. That stuff is actually pretty good! Simple easy to make too!

Throw in some frozen veggies and pick up a loaf of French Bread……

Heck, even throw in a bottle of wine and a candle……

The rest of the evening should be all set after dinner!

Thanks for the replies guys! Lou, I think you had the best suggestion… but with there not being a KFC in 30 minutes of me (each way)… gonna go ahead and improvise. See, my wife hasn’t gone grocery shopping for a while. So cupboards are pretty bare. Got the spices. Going to go with an improvised version of what Wicked posted. Don’t have the italian bread crumbs… so been working the last 10 minutes on smashing some italian crutons! Hey, at least I get to smash something still. Great help guys Will let you know how it goes.
