Yep, 1980!!!! Pretty darn good game, both of them!!! Even better that ND won them both!!!! What you guys didn’t think that those little rats could win all season long did you??!!!
So, these are the first Gopher games I’ve watch this year, and do all of them have so many penalties called? I saw several over the weekend (called on both teams) that looked a bit excessive IMO. Good thing for MN though b/c this weekend they couldn’t seem to score a 5 on 5 goal to save their tail.

The Gophers have hit there mid season slump. It was the worst series I have seen them play in a long time, it looked as though they did not want to play for the whole game. With that said congrats to the UND, a team that I had written off for the season. With those two wins it puts them into the tournament for now jumping from 15 to 9 in the pairwise rankings which determins who goes to the Frozen 4 tourney.

Here’s to them. I didn’t like all the nasty penalties but that first string sure can skate and their passing was flawless…I love to see that in college hockey.
