    Just bought a flueger reel and a st’croix rod for ice fishing.Just wondering what anyone thinks of them?Iwas told they are good rods and reels.

    Both nice,good choice,buuuut I think the st’croix are a little over priced

    Mitch- I have 4 set up the same way and love them. The reels are great. They worked great fishing outside the hut at Mille Lacs last weekend when it was below 0. Just don’t skimp on what type of line you put on the spools. I spooled one of mine with 2lb Fireline Crystal and the others with different weights of Vanish Florocarbons. (2-6 lbs)

    I don’t have either of those for ice combo’s, but I sure like my summertime combos with those brand names!!

    Thanks for the input.Had a hard time spending that much on a rod but wanted a litter nicer setup.
