Well, here is my last post from the “other site”…I’m sure I’m finally getting the boot. But I went out with a bang posting: “www.in-depthangling.com is the best site for UN-BIASED pro-staff and reports on the web”. Guess I’ll be posting here from now on. Adam

    Thanks for your support CC.

Each website has it’s own set of rules and when a person signs up we agree to follow them. It sorta reminds me of going to Mexico with military ammo. I would end up in jail for being in possesion of 9mm ammo…no gun…just the ammo…so I would never do that. On the other hand, coming into the US without the proper papers will get one sent to the slammer until deported…maybe a bad analogy….

I guess I’m just hoping this isn’t going to be a toast FM thread…although you won’t get banned…

I’ve heard a rumor that there is room on the web for more than one fishing web site.

I got banned this weekend. Someone said “there seems to be something going on at Hunter’s” So I just replied ” indepth anglin’ has a gtg” and got das boot for that. Pretty sad.

They don’t even want the word ”in-depth” mentioned as they have lost alot of staff and members over to in-depthangling.com.
    Thanks, Bill

    Insecurity demands radical actions………….

If you can’t live on what you built and smile about it, then your alternative is to live in fear of your competetion.

We all have competetion in life. In every job, at every “angle”.

Some live by being the best and not in fear of the competetion……others live by being insecure of the competetion and trying to “pretend they are not there”.

I left that site in early 03′ when I found “fish the lake”/”fish the river.com” which turned into In-Depth Angling.com. I dont spend much time on the net, but I will tell you without telling you which site is best for GOOD information.

Take a look at some of the pics on thier home page….HAHAHA that 22″ eye!!! HAHAHA if I just..hold..it out a little, and hide my …hand, it looks…like a respectable fish..there.. take the picture!

Anyway welcome to the site and I am sure you will find it suits your style.

    Go fish!!

I am going to remain pretty silent about FM. Its been a long time since I heard anything good about that site overall. I have my issues with them myself and I will not contribute to that site in any way anymore.

IDA is a great place. I cant say enough good about it. From the forums to the get togethers.. James has done a great job of keeping this site beneficial to the fishermen, not just beneficial to himself. I go out of the way to promote this site to others nearly every day.

I find its more enjoyable to share fishing info and general BS here than it is to get up in arms and attack another site…. is it really worth the time? Its not worth mine. I would rather keep my energy positive and stay active on the topics here.

    Welcome!

We are glad to have you.

The reason why you are here doesn’t matter, we are just glad you came over. Read the rules here and follow them and you will have a long enjoyable time at IDA. We are just like everyone else, we need rules, have rules, and expect people to follow them.

In exchange for following the rules you will get top notch reports, first class web site, access to “in-depth outdoors” and a whole bunch of other good stuff.

    Enjoy!!

For the stupid among us, what is FM? I assume a competing fishing site?

Well said Dave. Positive action, always will win out negative thoughts. IDA is more than a fishing site. I don’t mean all the great hunting info either. Generally speaking, I have seen all topics covered and discussed here. I cannot comment on the other sites, because I do not visit them. I too am constantly telling my friends and relatives about IDA. I know some are lurkers.

well I can tell you that I went and looked at their site, not too impressed, besides I am biased when it comes to which fishing website I like more. so James, can we get a famous person to start puting his famous qoutes on this site, then when you meet him, he is a jerk because your 1 yr old son wants to pet his dog.

Jay, if you look at my last post from “Sunday Report” in the Mille Lacs forum from a couple weeks ago, I sort of did invite you.

Jimmy is going to Red this weekend then to LOW to get his hard house home. Lets put some pressure on him to put it on Mille so we have a “home base” to fish from.
BTW, I have a report from Diamond Lake near Spicer from last night (Monday).

Got to my Dads hard house about 3:30, not a nibble until 5:00pm. From 5 till 6:30 it was pretty much non stop action with walleyes and a few perch. All the eyes were less than 12″ but it was a blast cathing so many fish in such a short time. 19 fow on the west side of the lake. They didn’t want a jigging spoon, just used bobbers and fatheads with a glow jig. Adam

Mr Holst is one secure guy….and with good reason. It just goes to show, if you ask a reasonable question on this site you will get a reasonable answer.

Maybe you should consider a bobber fishing segment! I’d be glad to help with that!

Hey Shane I think you may be on to something…IDA DVD Series “How to not catch fish”

I could even chime in and make my presence known in the DVD short “Muskie Fishing and Anger Management”

I go over there once in a while when I’m bored. SOME decent people on there but the mgt puts me off. I have my reasons for bailing from that site several years ago. Nothing has changed since then.
