Water Temps in the Cumberland / Haywood Area

    With the opener last week can anyone tell me what the water temps in the Cumberland / Haywood area.
    How was the fishing this past weekend? I am mostly looking for Bass and pike.

    I was at the cabin on Long Lake in Washburn County – our temps ranged from 49-53 degrees. We were fising for eye’s and ended up with a couple of largemouth in the 3-4# range.

    I hope those temps rise soon, at least a little bit!

    Saturday I was on a couple of real clear lakes just south of hayward and had temps from 47-50. Saw about 5 walleyes in the shallows for every 1 smallmouth. For smaller and darker lakes I would expect to be 5 deg. warmer and I would expect that the majority of the lakes will 3-5 deg during this week from last weekend. For what its worth, tuesday afternoon here on Wissota I had temps as high as 57 deg.
