January 12, 2007 at 6:12 pm #521998Ah sorry Chappy. I haven’t been in town since yesterday afternoon. I saw Diesel For 2.41 up in south st. Paul at the truck stop. So I can start driving my truck more now too. Wish I had me a couple 50 gallon barrels so when/if it starts going up I can stock up on it.

Saw diesel for $2.49 at Marathon in Osseo…
Let’s keep those prices headed south!
January 14, 2007 at 2:23 am #522495Was in Buffalo this evening it is at 1.89 as well, here in Anandale it is looking like she will be standing at 1.95 for awhile yet…
January 14, 2007 at 3:48 am #522516I just read that oil went under $55 a barrell not sure if that matters but gas is $1.96 in MPLS at Bobby and Steves.
WHICH IS UNHEARD OF to match the other shops. They are always at least $.20 higher than everyone else.
Keep it coming!
January 14, 2007 at 3:49 am #522517Gee, I didn’t even notice the prices when I put 20.00 in the Van in Lake City today except that my gauge registered more gas in the tank than I thought it would. Gas prices lowering sure gets a guy anxious for warmer spring weather for open water fishin.
Thanks, BillJanuary 14, 2007 at 4:29 am #5225252.43 for diesel At the Ez stop On concord in south st. paul. 2.55 for it in Hastings and 1.93 for gas in hastings. 2.46 for diesel at The Point North of Hastings.

By time spring gets here the prices will for sure be back up. Demand and supply is keeping it down right now. But once we all start making our summer trips and pulling out our boats the demand will go up and so will the price.
That is what I have been told by our station here when I asked them why are prices seem to jump towards the weekend, The manager said the demand is higher for gas so the price goes up with the demand, keeps people from abusing the use of fuel. So it slows down the needed supply by raising the fuel prices which in turns keeps people from using to much fuel..All in all it keeps our supply of fuels at a steady rate…January 14, 2007 at 5:04 am #522532Unfortunately you are right about it going back up.
Thanks, BillJanuary 17, 2007 at 7:54 pm #524186Yes its great that gas has taken a temporary dip. But Fuel has not changed as significantly. Sorry to be a buzz kid. But its Fuel that makes the world go round. You may pay less at the pump, but you will be paying more for goods and services at the store.
shaylaPosts: 1399January 17, 2007 at 8:07 pm #524191What’s the difference if you are pulling a boat in the summer or sleds/wheelers/wheel-houses in the winter? I go up TH 169 every day and I don’t notice any less traffic on weekends in the winter than I do in the summer. Seems to me the demand is pretty constant year-round. I think the oil companies know that we EXPECT the prices to go up on busy weekends and holidays, especially in summer, and they raise the prices to “keep us happy”….sort of accomadate our preconceived notions. Regardless of what truly influences the price of gas, I am happy the prices are back under $2.00 and will enjoy it while it lasts.
