Saturday the 6th, the wife, a buddy and I went to the pond. We have all caught perch on the pond in the winter but never any eyes. Well that day two of us caught the elusive eye. I caught a 9″ & a 17″ , my buddy caught a 15″ eye and a 11″ perch . The wife had something big on but lost it . Started on 3 mile (my 2 eyes were caught there) then went to 2 mile where the other caught and missed.
We went out of Hunters as we always do.
I bought a LX5 right before X-Mas that went belly up at 8:30AM so the wife & I were fishing blind. Gander replaced it yesterday and hopefully the wife & I make it up to the pond the next 2 weekends.
After fishing (we got off the ice ~ 7PM) we went to eat at Hunters. It was very crowded but George made some room at a table with some other guys . We sat and enjoyed our burgers and conversation with Keith ( he owns the island) and his two friends .
Now that I caught one thru the ice I have to make sure the wife gets one!

To bad the wife lost the Biggun.

I was at Hunters Saturday night also. I thought the staff did a real good job with the crowd they had in there.
It was fun watching George bounce off the walls.
