Best version of the Star Spangled Banner

    Here is a blast from the past, remember when Whitney Houston sang “The Star Spangled Banner” at Super Bowl 25 in 1991. This is the best version I have ever heard IMHO.

    I have to agree Steve… I have sung the Anthem in many venues across the Midwest…I love the style…very little improv…just sing it as it was written, FROM THE HEART…let your voice do the talking.
    The worst HAD to be Hootie and the Blowfish…

    There should be a law that you have to sing the Anthem as it was written. There are some that you can’t even tell what they’re supposed to be singing. Roaseann was the worst.

    well with rosanne she started out actually trying, but when the fans started booing her and throwing things, she purposely sang worse. i know that is hard to do for her, but…
