I can only think of one or two people more deserving.
John Kerry, and O.J Simpson?
Personally I think they should have just put him in general population a while ago and let the boys have some fun with him. If he lived to make it to trial he did and if not we didn’t just waste a ton of money on protecting him.

What he said!!!
Personally, I think it would be a more of a punishment if we flew him over here and locked him up with Manuel Noriega. But that’s just me…..

It’s about time. They should make it for all the other dictators in the world to see. Like the guy in Iran and Korea.
If only we could get our criminal justice system to follow this. You get a death sentence, carry it out within a month instead of within 20 years
Glad to see you go Saddam. Hope the heat where your going is unbearable
Death by BB gun would be ideal… I wonder how many pumps and shots it would take to blow a toe off(and other extremities) on the old trusty crossman?
Record the whole 24 hour session on video and send it back to Iraq and let them play that on their tv station.
And to whom shall we set our sights on next? Dead or alive, I do not see a change for the better. The only difference I see is that now our troops get to die right along with the rest of them. A hanging, sensationalized by the media, does little in the way of solving anything over there. If you are under the belief that when Sadaam is executed that life will be better for Iraqis, and our troops will all get to come home, well, you are gravely mistaken.
Hanging Saddam is not meant to solve anything. Its his payback for the torture and murder of innocent people.
They should sell rocks for $1.00 a toss, we could pay for the whole war effort with those proceeds. Hopefully he suffers for eternity
Slipsinker;
He was found guilty of crimes against humanity. Saddam fits in the same catagory at Hitler, Stalin, and Milosovich.
His Baath Party has been disolved on all power, which was basically the same as the Hitler’s Gestapo and Stalin’s “Great Purge” and “Gulag Labor Camps”.
It is over and now peace can reign.
Saddam lived a life of violence and murder. There will be more of the same committed as part of his legacy after he is gone. Does he deserve to be hanged? You’ll get no argument from me against the descision. But I don’t think this is cause for celebration.
If I was king… I would “lose him” like an overdue library book. No public hanging. No official statements. No media moment to give his followers reason to commit further acts of violence and reprisals in his name.
When they’d asked about Saddam… the reply would be… “Next Question.”
James;
That is exactly what Russia did with Stalin!
It was the smartest thing the country did in an attempt to maintain control and they were very successful with it.
Thats what I was thinking…. why make him a Martyr ? He’s just somebody that needs to go away quietely.

I thought for sure they wewre going to drag out the hearings for years. Glad a judgement was reached. I just hope there isn’t a stay of execution.
CNN is reporting that he’s already been turned over to the Iraqis.
That was my thoughts as well. Execute him however they feel, but keep it private and let it go quietly. He wants to be a martyr and that is just going to fuel the fire even more with all the insurgents.
I can’t see celebrating his death. He does need to be punished for his crimes, but not made a public spectacle.

I sincerely pray that to be the case, but I don’t believe it will come about because of a hanging….nor will US troops deliver it. If those people want “Peace”, they must believe in it strongly enough to want to earn it for themselves.

That’s how I feel about it! I just make a habit out of taking the long way to get there.

It worked for Mussolini. Hopefully, it will work here.
