Ok maybe not, but this is what I saw fishing today. I glanced down river only to see what I initially thought to be dorsal fins. After about 3-4 seconds of scratching my head I realized what it was that I saw swimming across the river…..

Why did the deer cross the river?

    To get to Minnesota!

I’m just assuming you’re facing north in this picture.

I could be way off on this one but wasn’t there a 5 foot bull shark located in Lake Pepin last winter by the MDNR? I could swear I read something about it and saw some photos taken of the fish under the ice.

As far as deer swimming I have seen them swim across the channel between Wisconsin and Iowa more than once and I watched a doe swim across Black Duck Lake north of Bemidji one summer morning a few years back. She didn’t see me sitting on the dock and was swimming right towards me. When I stood up she swam to the rushes and hid there until I went back to the cabin. Deer are pretty good swimmers.

And that shall be my internet lesson for the day. You should always double check your sources, kids. Even though that report for school is due today, make sure you have a reputable source.

I realize the date was from April Fools Day but the photos are pretty convincing as is the remainder of the story. Is there any truth to the story? If not someone went to a great deal of trouble putting this one together.

Absolutely no truth at all to that story. It was an April Fools Joke. Some people have way too much time on thier hands…..

but… but…. didnt you zip down there with some of that corn you were using to fish 4 carp… and see if you could catch a deer? wonder what the world record is for deer.. they didnt look 2 big so you would probably have to go for line class… but if you could land one with say 6# test.. then Id say 4 sure youd have a record! but netting it and draggin it in the boat might be interesting.. I spose youd have to use a billy club like they used to 4 big musky… anyway.. there was a whole school of them deer there!.. Im SURE youd have caught one with a good cast!

Sharks loose there teeth all the time but have new ones that come forward and immediately replace them.

Walleye and green sunfish lose their teeth in early July and dont grow them back until the end of summer.

My dad use to lose his teeth all the time back when he was drinking…mom used to make me hop on my bike and go find them for him. Wasn’t a fun job but I usually would find them at the end of the driveway laying in the weeds and lastnights supper.

Please, no more losing teeth posts? They should be banned with the religion and politics posts. Nothing good can come of them.
