Does anyone know of any regs about having a fish fry on the ice. Thinking it sounded good for the GTG at Hunter’s. If I am not mistaken you can not dispose of the skins etc and the fish count toward your daily limit??????

You cannot posses fish filets on Mille Lacs. So, fish fry is out.

Thanks for the bad news Jon. I wonder if the guys would go for fish sticks????
I’m not sure if you are fishing mille lacs or not but if a fish fry is your thing while your on a trip just take your fish fillets, clean them on shore, and have Hunter’s cook them for you. I think they charge some thing like $4 a person and you get the fish fried and a couple of sides. The portions are huge, the food is always fantastic…. and someone else gets to do the dishes.
Thanks Jim. Fresh fish can’t be beat. I’ll suggest that to the guys. It sound alot better than fish sticks.
We do this every time we go up as a group and it always turns out great. Good luck getting into the jumbos.
James,
thanks for the advice of Hunter’s cooking . hawghunter is staying with me, my buddy and Andy Kraig for the weekend so hopefully Andy can keep us on the Jumbo’s

You can call me Jim any time you want… but not if you want me to answer.

Note to self…..write next guiding check to “Jim Holst”. He might not cash it then.
Okay, I just got back on this post and got an education. Sorry JAMES. My name is Arnold but I go by Arnie. Looking forward to meeting you at the GTG.
Hey, not a problem guys. These goofs are just playing around. I wish I had them all on a shock collar that went off automatically every time they took a thread off topic.
I’ll see you at the GTG!
Arnie be good. James is the all powerful here . and since you are in the same house with me I will straighten this out for you . James I am sorry for how Arnold has been lately . And please do not take it out on the ice house he is sleeping in at some point during the GTG.
Jeff
My safety net is that I have never met anyone on this site yet so no one knows what I look like.
I’m thinking about bringing one of those industrial sized squirt guns to the GTG to deal with those that get out of hand.
OK. that sounds good. might have to borrow 1 of the 2 rocket rapid fire launchers my boys got for christmas.
Sounds like we’re in an arms races of sorts. Could give a new meaning to the phrase… cold war.
