OK all you last minute shoppers, here is the most excellent childrens gift ever. It’s cheap, easy to find and FREE.
It’s called a “Donut Tree”.
Just find a medium sized branch, wrap it up, and when the child opens it-tell them what it is-a donut tree. Then plant it some where(even in the house in a flower pot)Tell the kids to water it twice a day and watch it every morning to see if the donuts have grown yet. After a couple of waterings, sneak a few mini donuts on a couple of the branches. Their reaction should be caught on video!!
We did this a couple of years back and the kids still ask for another donut tree to this day. We also have done the same thing but called it a “Candy Tree”…and put various candies on the tree…
Your kids will feel the way you would feel if you had a “Money Tree”
PS: we told our kids that the tree would only produce 3 times then we would have to pass it on to a neighbor or the tree will die.
