    Copy Paste!

Highlight the link and copy it…then paste into your post.

highlight — right click —- highlight copy — left click– got to your post — right click — highlight paste — left click —enter ALL DONE

I edited to give more detail just in case. My Boss just asked me a couple days ago what the right button on the mouse was for.

The other advantage is some links are way too long, like a link to a page the cabelas website :

    http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/pod/gc-pod.jsp?_DARGS=/cabelas/en/common/catalog/pod-link.jsp_A&_DAV=GiftCertificateEntry&id=0005586&navCount=3&parentId=cat20135&returnPage=&navAction=jump&returnQueryString=&link=&parentType=index&indexId=&rid=&gift_card=true

Just cleaner to used the UBB code and add it there so it doesn’t mess up the screen format in the post: cabelas

Both of those link go to the same page.

O.K. Jon, I’m confused. When I hit the URL tab in UBB code section, it brings up a script prompt and asks to enter the entire URL. I cannot figure out how to enter that without typing the entire URL.
How do ya do it? I’m obviously not very computer savy. Guess I live too close to IOWA.

Geez Jon…nothing like screwing up the whole page…but you did make your point!

•First copy the url (link that you want to post)
    •Then open the reply/post page.
•Click on the URL instant UBB Code
***When the dialog box opens press CONTROL V to paste the url in the box.
    •Click OK
•Name the link whatever you want
    •Click OK

    *** answers your question John
