So as I sit here at my desk watching files cross the network, pumping the Pink Floyd Pulse two DVD set out of my laptop as loud as she goes, I am reminded of a warm day in the summer of 94′. Just a junior in highschool at the time I got the chance to see my favorite band ever at the Metrodome, Pink Floyd. Our seats were awesome, up just a few rows off the main floor on the lower level, real close to the stage. The power of the music, lights, pyrotechnics, and visual effects were undeniably the greatest ever. There are truly only a handful of bands out there that can be called the greatest… What’s is your all time favorite concert?

December 8, 2006 at 9:37 pm #508853My favorite was the first time I went to Ozzfest at Float Rite Park and Ampitheater in 98 I believe, give or take a year. I saw Tool for the first time with Megadeth and of course, Ozzy. Outdoor concerts are a lot of fun. Tool Rules!

December 8, 2006 at 9:51 pm #508863Metallica/Kid Rock/Sevendust. January of ’01 at the Metrodome. Seats were first row, just off the stage.
The best part of the whole experience was putting a sign up in the commons of my dorm advertising tickets to the show with my buddies phone # on it. He knew nothing about it.
Hearing his phone ring for a week at all hours of the night was priceless.

December 8, 2006 at 10:03 pm #508868After a long week of work, my cousin and I were fishing an early morning tournament on a Sat. Well, we were making fun of those bass guys in those huge boats yet they stand next to eachother in the front of the boat. Needless to say the tournament wasn’t going well, so he came up to the front of the boat to spoof the bass guys (sorry guys!). He stood right next to me and started singing. I was laughing my off, when we noticed a young girl standing above the dock on a hill staring at us. I am pretty sure she was scarred for life. Not exactly a concert, but one of my favorites
December 8, 2006 at 10:08 pm #5088741988 Alice Cooper with Guns-N-Roses warming up, at Roy Wilkins. Boston in ’87 was great too, and all the AC/DC’s go without saying…

December 8, 2006 at 10:19 pm #508881Judas Priest a year or two ago at Excel Center. Why? Beacuse my son’s brought me for my birthday. It had been probably 20 years since the last time I saw them in Germany while I was in the Army.
December 8, 2006 at 10:27 pm #508883Lol, boy here comes honesty. In 1969 i seen Rod stewart at a bar in Madisn Wisc. called Deweys bar in downtown Madison just off State street. Admission was $5.00 and pictures were $1.50 with standing room only selling out and hundreds were standing outside, He sang maggy mae, his first hit single. The next summer i and a good friend went to woodstock and seen Pink Floyd, The Chambers Brothers, Sly and the Family Stone with Tina Turner, Creedance Clearwater, Jefferson Airplane, Almond Brothers band, Joe Walsh and almost all of the other big bands at the time, what a partying 3 days, whew! and i seen them all befor i was 20. Went to kansas City a few months later and seen Janis Joplin for the 3rd time and she tore the doors off the concert hall, what a performer she was! Some had drug problems but what a show they put on, the best of the best and very talented. I seen all the recording bands from the late 60’s and early 70’s, all but 4 and 3 were from europe. Didn’t get a chance to see Led Zepplin or i would have, can’t be lucky all the time, LOL what a blast and alot of very good memories and friends.

Flying back to San Diego and the guy I was sitting beside on plane gave me 2 tickets. Thought it was a joke and just about threw them away. What a concert.
