at least you guys didn’t waste 100 bucks on tickets, and 20 bucks on parking like i did. I ended up leaving after the 3rd quarter. what a terrible game.

Brady exposed the Purple last night. The defense played terrible and the offense even worse. A trip to the 49’ers this week might help a little.

P.S. It’s nice to see some cheeseheads post once in a while.

I too love seeing the Purple Pansies lose but I do wish it would have been a closer game as watching one sided games is boring. I like how the Vikings seem to be on a downward slide while my Packers seem to be improving. This might not be as bad of a season for the Pack as so many thought it would be.

Eyehunter, now that right there is funny. Who have the pack beat this year?? Love your optimism, but reality will set in soon enough for cheesehead nation.

MLJumbo, I was also at the game. We stayed until right after the Bollonger smash fest. The best part of the night was making fun of the Irvin mascot. We were sure he would lay down on the field and attempt to snort the lines off the turf.

Don’t mind losing the game, but sure would have like to seen a decent game.

How ’bout that instant replay on Wiggins !!! Somebody was snorting something. How could he blow that. If he saw the replays I did, his age is showing too. Yes. Johnson is too old. He has no zip on his throws, and his legs are GONE !!! He had a good run, but its over… IMHO

I couldn’t agree more. It was painfully obvious last night.

I’m glad that I was at home alone last night watching the game, as first the bad language started then turned to tears of embarrasment. It sure is hard to stay up on the band wagon when they play like that!! My son in Iraq, said that they even walked out on the game. Something needs to change with this team on the offensive side of the ball!

All you Viking fans, as well as fans from other NFL teams, really secretly deep down wish that you were Packer fans. It is OK. No need to stay in the closet on this one. It is understandable that you really, truely want to cheer for the legendary Green Bay Packers. I mean they are the most storied NFL franchise of all time and they don’t wear purple. Don’t worry. The Packer nation will accept you nomatter which team you used to cheer for, even former Cowboy and Viking fans. Life is too-short to continue to live in denial so come out of the closet and show your support of the greatest football franchise of all time the Green Bay Packers!

Sorry eyehunter, you are way off base on that statement. Did you add some vodka with your green kool-aid today?

That Wiggins call wasn’t the only play the referees goofed up on. There were several other penalties called that were bogus including a couple of pass interference and holding calls. I thought home field advantage would help out the home team with the refs calls, I guess not. Bellichek must have a side deal going with the refs since he could change their mind so easily. I was amazed they didn’t call anything on the punt return for the TD. These calls didn’t make the game, but they didn’t make it any easier for the Vikes. Brady and Maroney had excellent games as did the Patriots Defense.

I dont think he is but only many steps does a guy have to take to catch a ball??? 2???? 3???????? maybe hold the ball for a couple 3 or 4 seconds??

    That was my only gripe!

If something like that happened in Pain Killer Bay the cops would be running thier trying to get people to stop from jumping off the bridge……….or DETOX would be full……..

Nope, just pointing out that there were several horrible calls by the refs. Granted there probably could be a penalty called on every play due to something the players do, I just think they threw some laundry down at pretty petty stuff mainly against the Vikings. The Vikings lost the game on their own due to poor play.

I agree that the Patriots soundly and truly beat my Vikings in a good ol’ fashioned butt-kicking, with or without a few questionable calls. The Patriots also showed that the Vikings are not a Super Bowl caliber team this season. I did not think they were a Super Bowl team before Monday night, but there were a few columnists and excessively optimistic Viking fans elsewhere who were starting to mention them as a dark-horse Super Bowl team. Monday night should put a stop to all that.

However, I don’t know that the Vikings defense was exposed to the point that some people now believe, or that Johnson suddenly got old and decrepit. As the Monday night crew reminded their audience every thirty seconds “it is a copy-cat league”, and there is no doubt that the 49ers will come out Sunday running lots of complex defenses and four-receiver spread sets against Minnesota, as will other teams that play the Vikings this season.

However, San Francisco, Green Bay, and the other future opponents do not have three-time Super Bowl winning QB Tom Brady throwing the ball from those spread sets, and they will not have Bill Belichick designing those copy-cat defenses like the one that befuddled Brad Johnson. Brady and Belichick have won three Super Bowls in six years for a reason, and it isn’t luck: mark my words, the Bears un-defeated season will not survive their trip to Foxboro. The Vikings are still a wild-card team, and they will be playing at least one more game than the Packers will in January.
