I have a Lowrance 3200 Global mapping GPS. Is it possible to enter a GPS location then go to that location using this GPS unit. I was given athe GPS coordinates for a spot on a lake, can I enter these numbers at home then go to that spot when I get to the laKE??

I know there’s another way to do this…but this is quick and easy…and I can find it quickly!

Once your unit is turned on and aquired your position (even in your drive way) make a way point. Now you’ve created a waypoint you’ll want to edit it.

Press the WP (waypoint) button once, select MY SAVED, then arrow down to NEAREST, then press enter. This will give you the option to edit the WP.
You can name it, select a new icon and enter in new latitude and longitude characters.

I’m typing this from memory…but I’m very close to sure that it’s correct…if you have a problem following the above, shoot me a pm and I’ll be happy to help.

That will work but you should PM me the coordinates just in case!

I learned a lot about my Lowrance by using the product emulator . (Good way to kill time while at work).

I believe you need to be on the same datum as the unit the coordinates came from for the coordinates to put you on the same spot.

Try a different product emulator. Some work better than others. The functions are basically the same. Just use an emulator that has the same menu configuration as your unit.
