What is the best and most economical way to add tilt and trim to a tiller motor?

Dont forget the light rope with a screw eye on the 2×4 so you dont have to chase it downstream!

Some of the companies that make Jack Plates also make trim kits for outboards that came without. About 400-500 clams a piece and they have to be installed, wired and set up to hit the correct angle for the dangle.

I love the 2×4 idea, but it is just not as clean as I was looking for.

Yep I’d agree a bit with Jonny here… Depending on how long you want to keep that motor and the size of the tiller….an add on trim and tilt like Panther makes would be a good one. You might be able to find them used for a pretty good deal. I sold one used (almost new) for about 250 last year. Otherwise, depending on the make of the motor, some of those motor companies have add on trim and tilt kits you can purchase. What’s the size and make of the motor?
