    Dear all,

Planning to continue to fish in my boat for as long as I can. As part of my strategy to keep warm, may I know what heaters would you all recommend for the boat? I would assume that a flameless electric heater is best in order to avoid the problem of fire. Any suggestions welcomed!

I use a Buddy Heater on the opener. As long as it is not too rough, or the back and forth action, kicks in the tip over protection

I bring my Mr.Heater that I use for ice fishing out. It’s nice if you need to warm your hands quick or if you want to cook a can of soup….make sure to open it first

Unless you have a full canopy, the size is not gonna matter. The heat escapes immediately. I have a 17 footer, with the sides and top, and it maybe warms it up 20 degrees, in the spring. Mostly, the heat is for your hands and whenever you can sit right next to it and catch it as it goes up and out. I know some boats have the rear closed as well, with a zippered see through door. I would think a very small heater would do the job then.

Theres a small heater by coleman called Black Cat that works very well to warm your hands in the boat.

    I use a Mr. Heater.
I turn it on to warm the hands, I turn it off after that.
If the rest of me gets cold I go home but that has never happened yet.

I use a sunflower heater on a 20 # tank. I stuck the whole works in an old milk crate so it wont tip over on the ride. Nice and toasty! You can even make smores, and…….
