Metro area Bass tournaments?

    Does anyone here know how I could get involved in bass tournaments as a non-boater?

    There are lots of options for you as a non boater. You could join a local bass club. Our club is about 1/3 non boaters. Most clubs fish 5-6 touraments a year. If you have any ?’s on our club, call or ask me.

    You could also check out http://www.americanbassangler.com/ . It is a tournament circuit that is nationwide. I believe the entry is $50 per event. Non boaters draw for boaters the morning of the event. If you show up with a boat you get to use it. Its a nice circuit with minimal costs.

    If you want to go all out you may want to check out the Gander Mountain or MN Pro/Am trails. They go more statewide with larger entry fees.
