Anglers as Role Models is a brand new non-profit foundation to aid the future of fishing. ARM was founded to aid Big Brothers / Big Sisters kids with pro-fishermen as role models. We started the foundation after EFN’s (the Electronic fishing Network) hosting the very successful “EFN BB/BS Get Together” last year at Everts Resort on Pool 4 / Mississippi River. James Holst (owner of EFN – http://www.fishtheriver.com and http://www.fishthelake.com ) and Dave Hoggard are both ARM board members. An ARM Benefit Walleye Tournament is scheduled for Pool 4 in 2003.

Our goal is to provide pro fishing role models to all the USA agencies of BB/BS, by taking these kids fishing.
And provide ARM – “Little / Pro-Mail” pen-pals with fishing pros for “BB/BS kids”. In 2003 we will provide a day fishing trip for all agencies kids in MN and WI. Pro fishermen will be taking these BB/BS kids and their adult matches, out for a day of fishing. In 2004 we’ll take on Iowa and perhaps South Dakota too. ARM intends to add one or two states BB/BS agencies per year to the list.
