What are your opinions on tournaments? I am all for them as long as the resource is taken care of the tourney is run in a professional way.
Although, there are others out there who think it exploits the resource.

Tourneys have been nothing but good for the sport. Does anyone out there think we’d have the incredible rigs that are available today if it were not for tournament fisherman?
Thanks to tournament fishing, which is a testing ground, we now have much better, bigger, safer boats, better livewells, better trolling motors, better batteries, better fish locators, GPS, better rods, better reels, better lines, better crankbaits, better jigs, better everything! The list goes on and on. We had none of these new high quality items before tournaments came about. Love them or hate them, they are respondsible for all the new stuff we ALL enjoy when on the water. Thank you tournaments as I am now able to enjoy, even be spoiled, everytime I’m on the water now. Thanks, Bill
Not to mention the excitement, rush, fun, fellowship, and learning that takes place in every tournament!!!
