I am trying to put together a group of people to bobber fish on mille lacs, we are more interested in them catching fish than size. I am looking for the best time of year for this?

Late May through early June is the best time of year for numbers of fish on the pond. Corkin is good, so is rigging and blading.

Slip bobbers work at all times of the season. Earlier in the season you will find most of the fish a little deeper, and as the lake warms and the plankton and algea develope, you will catch them shallower. For your purposes, I’d focus on the mid-June to mid-July time frame.

The nice thing about mid-June is when they lift the night-ban then you can fish into the night too.
