Had a fun day on the ice yesterday. Just wanted to say it was good to put a face with a name. It was a pleasure meeting ya-all! Big thanks to Lienieman for cooking up a great lunch. And thanks to Richard Smith/Dave Hoggard for letting me test drive that Otter Lodge. Also, thanks to Mike Finke for putting us on some fish! Not the biggest fish in the state, but hey I even put a couple on the ice…lol

The day started out snowy as we all got set up. (See Attachment)…..

Nice pics Jon! It was an interesting day weather wise. We left home with a mild morning with light snow and drove home in cold windy sunshine. Typical Minnesota.
It was good to see many familiar faces and a couple of new ones. After seeing Hawger , Richard and all the gear they brought , there is no doubt that Hawger needs to ride in a new Hummer. The van was quite full. The food sure hit the spot. The chili was hot as it was taken out of the pan but after a couple of minutes exposed to the wind it sure cooled quick. It was a fun event.

Hey guys it was a great time out there as always. I forgot to sell all you my raffle tickets for the Downsville Sportsman Club. They do good things in these parts such as new and improved ramsps on the river. I’ll put up a post for the raffle tickets I only have 19 books to sell. 5 bucks for a book of 6.I’ll post up so photo’s later. Thanks to everyone there it was fun but cold. Steve

Yes it was a cold windy day. But as always we made the best out of it. Thanks to Mike Finke for his efforts in having the fish located for our arrival saturday! Great food at lunch, chillllllllly dogs, and all the fixings!
It was a day of some fishing, good conversation and great eating! We really had a nice Otter display out on the ice. Purple or green you had your choose. Small Otter Cabins and some of the larger Lodges. The planes flying over might have thought it was the Vikes and the Packers?

    Thanks to all who attended.

Looks like a RiverEyes photo to me. Maybe his eyes got ”iced” in that cold weather.

I want to thank Schweigert Meats for the great fully cooked smoked bratwurst (official product of the Minnesota Wild).

These were the biggest/plumpest and the best tasting brats I have ever had… and were so good steamin’ hot and covered with onions, pickles, grated cheese and Texas/WI. style chili! good stuff man!

We used the Sportsman’s Multi Heater to hot up the chili… worked great! We mixed the chili from Steve Greene’s home-made batch and mine… to make a blend!

No wonders why everyone pigged out so… man it was good eats!

What a great time getting to meet all the guys… we had some folks who came to see what was up amd shared in the good food too. Real FUN!

I had to leave a bit earlier than I wanted… I had a Hummer waiting for me!

I have waited a long time for a Hummer…. and what a thrill it was to get into one!

Those were some great brats, thanks goes out to Bob C. or Tim, for the soda pops, we had some good vennie sausage but I’m not sure who’s that was.I’m not sure who brought the spoons but I think I have 490 left so the next event I’ll bring the spoons. Jackie makes a great potatoe soup. Anyone up for some perch jerkin up on Winnie? Thanks to Jon J. for bringing that fire breathing flame throwing cooker. It didn’t take long to boil up several gallons of hot water for hot chocolate and coffee. It was a fun day and looking forward to it again. It does look like Dave and Richard brought everything but the kitchen sink. Steve

And here is the after shot. Boy this cooker worked great for heating things up without burning anything. Only had to look in there a couple of times. The only reason to look in there was because I was curious because there was no smoke? Steve

Now this shot comes as a reminder to put on your cleats or chains before falling down. I thought I got away with it but I heard Jon yell something like (looks like Leinies doing tricks or something). Anyway this is what was on the camera as I was picking by butt up off of the ice. Steve

I got there too late to drive one !

I got to crawl all over it though… fun. It seemed to fit me and I liked the way it looked inside. Real nice interior & buckets… much more cozy than my van.

I gotta go back up for the test drive… asap !

Thats a smile of someone thats sitting in a hummer after finishing a Krispy Cream donut. I don’t now if thats the correct spelling or not but I had my first one and it was a little frozen but it was good. Hey EC you would like those. What is it that you say like a fat boy on a donut or was that a cupcake. Steve
