Are the best team in the NFL. Just listen to all the announcers on the tv. I would agree 100 percent. Most solid offense and defense in the NFL.

The “unstoppable” Bears needed a fourth quarter fumble to beat the Vikings by a whopping three points two weeks ago. I hardly consider that pathetic. That is the same game where Brad Johnson had a higher completion percentage and higher QB rating than Rex Grossman, who had what should have been a game-killing pick-six INT against that “pathetic” Vikings defense.

Last year, the Colts were being proclaimed unstoppable and a shoo-in for 19-0 by the announcers, whose job it is to hype such things–Indy didn’t even make it to Detroit.

All you Bear fans ought to remember 2001 and 2005, when Da Bears went 13-3 and secured a first-round bye, only to flop at home. If that happens again I will be one of the people tossing the eggs that will be all over your faces…

Boy, you sure are a class act. That is the best thing about this site, there are only a few that have reached their own level of incompetence.

Ahh, cut honda some slack–I suspect he has personal issues to deal with, and he copes with them by projecting his anxieties about himself on to someone or something else.

NOW NOW CHILDREN. IF YOU CANT PLAY NICELY, DONT PLAY AT ALL . We each have our opinions and even though some should not be said on this site, theres no need for insulting each other.

I gotta agree that the game was pathetic and that even though the Bears barely beat us, they have so much confidence now that I think they are the team to beat in NFL. Good luck Bears, the Vikes dont appear to have it this year. FF

Hey vike fan you got to remember your sorry offence couldn`t put the ball in the endzone against the Bears D. If it were`nt for Grossmans mistake it would`nt have been as close as it was.

    Go # 1 Chicago Bears

That all well and great, but he did make a mistake, and it was close.

Thats why they play the games

I can’t say I’m sold on Rex Grossman, I still think he could go down at any time. He’s unreliable, and I still think it’s a fluke that he’s doin so well.

On the other hand…..if stays healthy and keeps doing what he’s doing, they’re going to be REAL hard to beat. And if he does go down, I think he’s got one of the best backups in the league (I can’t believe I said that–I’ve never been able to stand the ex-donkey brian ‘hamburger’ griese). They COULD be SUPER BOWL BOUND!!!

Like i said before the vikings ARE NOT GOOD the bears just played bad that day and NO it wasn’t because of the viking defense either they just had a bad day. We will just see what happens when the purple boys who can’t play outside have to play the bears again in late november when it is cold outside.

With a minute to go in the third quarter, the Bears are down 23-3 to the fearsome buzzsaw that is the 1-4 Arizona Cardinals. Rex Grossman, who was being proclaimed the next Joe Montana, has two interceptions and two lost fumbles against a Dennis Green defense.

The mighty immovable force that is the Bears defense has given up twenty-three points to rookie QB Matt Leinart, who is making his second career NFL start. Barring a serious comeback, the 1972 Dolphins can start icing the champagne for the fall of the last undefeated team in the NFL.

Bears go ahead…I ain’t gonna lie to you…I CANNOT STAND Denny Green, and I love the bear defense, so in all honesty, I’m happy as hell for the team, if they pull this out….but this scare should show them, any given week……..

Bears win, 24-23. They pulled off a great comeback, aided by the incompetence of Dennis Green and the joke that is the Arizona Cardinals. Two running plays to set up the field goal attempt when Leinart was moving the ball downfield? Yes, that is the Denny Green I remember: get in a tight spot in a big game, pull in the horns, play not to lose, and hope he gets lucky.

This was a game the Bears should have lost. Before the Bear fans start talking about 16-0 (yup, I forgot the Colts), your franchise QB just had six turnovers against a 1-4 team coached by Dennis Green. A good coach and a good team would not have choked away a fourteen-point lead. New England and the New York teams will learn from this, and not make the stupid mistakes Dennis Green’s squad made.

Next step? Rex threw 4 interceptions, 0 TD’s, and less that 150 yds. The Bears were out played nearly the entire game. The Cards definitely had the better team tonight…

So, did anyone else catch Denny Green’s post-game press conference? Priceless.

got to give the cardinals credit for exposing some flaws in the bears, who were severely outplayed and outcoached in the first half.
i have never been a big fan of the cover 2 defense. yeah, it limits the deep balls but if you dont get a pass rush the 3 step drops and quick passes will eat it alive, like leinart did, especially in the first half.
plus grossman looked like a rookie in the face of the cardinals blitzes. and you can bet he will be seeing it every game the rest of the year.
but, gotta love the way the bears d and special teams came through in the second half.
great game to watch. there was some serious hitting by both teams.
