In cleaning out my grandparents garage there are 4 pieces of marble, of various sizes. Grandpa said it was old and something “fancy”, whatever that means. It is white and has grayish and goldish colored swirls through it.
Wondering if anyone can give me an idea of what it might be worth or what can be done with it. One piece is ~41x82x1.25″ and the others are smaller.
    I am in Rochester, MN.
    Thanks,

Maybe a small table or bathroom counter. You could bring it in and have it cut and polished. just an Idea going to look at stone today so not sure on the price.

The popular counter tops for kitchens today are granite. Marble is softer and isn’t a good choice for counters. Mantels over fireplaces and hearths plus the sides would be a good choice. It sounds like its a fancy marble or a better marble, pricey stuff. The piece you described should be worth at least $200 to $300, divide that by approx square footage and thats the price per square ft. Bigger pieces are more expensive and go from there. Lots of people will drop $500 to a $1000 to dress up something really nice. Adevertise it and see what happens.
