My prayes are with your buddy and his family. Don’t forget his family through this. It’s easy to overlook what wives and kids and parents go through during this time. My future son-in-law had testicular cancer two summers ago. It was a tough ordeal, especially the chemo. At times he looked pretty bad and it was hard to look at him but it is a winnable fight. Billy had tumors all the way up to his neck but between chemo and surgery he’s all clear now. And he has his color and weight back and is marrying daughter #2 next summer. Positive mental attitude, PMA!!!!
Prayers are sent. Nothing more powerful than prayer. I myself just had surgery on my lower lip last Tues. having a spot removed. As many of you may have noticed at the GTG. Stitches out today and with the results of the biopsy. Was cancer. Just have to remember to get myself a wide brimed hat for next year and keep it moist and keep an eye on it. For right now it is healed well.
Joe goes in for surgery today at the U of M to remove lymph nodes form his abdomen. If this goes well and they get all of the cancerous material then he will be good to go. If not then he must undergo chemo. It sounds like this is a very invasive surgery and will shelf him for a couple months. I would very much appreciate an extra prayer for him and his family today as he goes through this.
A quick update on how Joe is doing. He just found out that the surgery did not contain his cancer. He now has to go through treatments of Chemotherapy. This is going to be a tough stretch for him. I would greatly appreciate it if you guys could keep him in your thoughts.
I hope everything turns out ok. My best friends 3 yr old just got over her Therapy and the doctors claim she is cancer free for now. Everthing looks good. I wish the same for Joe.
